Driving Tours

The lush rolling prairie of the Dauphin area offers a lovely opportunity for scenic, self-guided driving tours. Pack a picnic, unfold the map or boot up the gps and set the wheels on motion for a delightful afternoon.

Tourism Dauphin has created several stimulating tours full of history, heritage and natural wonders. Using map or gps co-ordinates, you set the pace, traveling to as many sites as you prefer.

The Ukrainian Heritage tour begins with the Historic Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Dauphin and guides you to up to 14 different sites in the area. Ranging from churches, cemeteries, pioneer farmsteads and old school houses, the tour offers a glimpse of the past when Ukrainian pioneers settled the area.

Agassiz Lookout TowerThe Riding Mountain Biosphere tour starts at the Dauphin Rail Museum and winds its way through the Parkland with stops at a beautiful beach ridge on Lake Dauphin, a combined book, art and coffee shop, the historic East Gate to Riding Mountain National Park and Inglis grain elevators which are internationally recognized as a unique architectural symbol of the prairies.

Those with something sweeter in mind may take a Berries and Honey tour. Explore the wide a variety of prairies fruit available at local U-Picks. Luscious strawberries, fat raspberries and plump saskatoons are waiting to be picked or purchased at nine different farms in the area. A large honey producing area, the Parkland boasts of several apiaries willing to open the doors to visitors.
