Ukrainian hospitality!
Visit the Historic Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection built in 1936 to 1939 and learn the story of the people who saved this icon of local Ukrainian heritage. Known as a Prairie Cathedral, the colourful church features a wealth of iconography and history.
With typical Ukrainian hospitality, your tour will include a traditional Ukrainian meal prepared by the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League. The menu will include:
- Borscht, a steaming beet soup
- Holubtsi, delicious cabbage rolls with rice filling
- Varenyky which are often called perogies
- Beet leaf rolls soaked in cream
- Nalysnyky, a delicate cheese crepe
- Kobasa, a smoked Ukrainian ham sausage
- Dessert
Enjoy your meal with some lively music from local musicians, performed on traditional Ukrainian instruments such as the tsymbaly, bandura, accordion or violin. You may also add to this package and have the Zirka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble give you a taste of colorful, traditional dancing. Or, have the ladies of the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League teach the custom of Easter bread making and take your creation home.
All packages require advance registration and are subject to availability.

- Groups 6 to 15 - $31.00 per person
- Groups 16 to 200 - $27.50 per person

- The Zirka Dance Ensemble will give you a taste of colorful, traditional dancing - $100 (flat fee)
- Learn the craft to Easter Bread making and take home your creation! - $150 (flat fee)
