COUNCIL ENJOYED POETRY AT THE MARCH 23, 2015 REGULAR MEETING

For the third year in a row, the City of Dauphin has participated in the Mayor’s Poetry City Challenge, a program started by the Mayor of Regina several years ago to help include poetry and arts into the municipal government.  At the March 23, 2015 Regular Council Meeting, Dauphin resident and Director of the Parkland Regional Library, Jean-Louis Guillas read two of his poems for Council and administration to enjoy.  The poems were entitled Good Seed – a dedication to his uncle and all other gardeners in the area, and Quilt – a dedication to his mother and all crafters and artisans.  It was great to have a local poet contribute to the Council Meeting!
