The summer season in the City of Dauphin is a wonderful and lively time of year for our community. It is when we typically come together to celebrate the warm weather, hold family gatherings, and partake in our many community events. This year has looked a lot different as we continue to battle COVID-19, and we worked together to keep our number of cases low for many weeks.
Recently, there has been a surge of confirmed cases in the Prairie Mountain Health region, with known cases in our area – we need to do better. Now, more than ever, we need to be vigilant, because we can see how quickly the virus can spread.
The city continues to monitor, evaluate, and respond to information to protect public safety but it is up to each of us to follow Provincial Public Health recommendations when it comes to slowing the spread of COVID-19: practice physical distancing by staying two metres apart from others, wash your hands, thoroughly and often, and make smart decisions to protect yourself and those around you. We urge everyone to stay informed on the current situation by following the daily provincial COVID-19 bulletin.
We encourage anyone with possible symptoms to phone Health Links – Info Sante at 1-888-315-9257.
We are a strong community, and by refocusing to each do our part, we can work through this setback.
Stay safe and stay healthy!
