Perimeter Airlines notified the Lt. Col. W. G. (Billy) Barker, V.C. Airport that effective October 9, 2015 they will no longer be providing service at the Dauphin airport. The airline advised that the change in service affects both the Dauphin and Brandon airports, and was due entirely to their loss of the lucrative Purolator Courier air freight contract. It is unknown at this time how the change may affect Purolator Courier service to and from Dauphin.
The Board of Directors of the local airport will be meeting to discuss this loss of daily passenger service in more detail, as well as considering other options for the airport.
The airport will remain open to all other air traffic, and will continue to provide charter air service, local and life flight services and fuel sales.
