Perimeter Aviation’s Discontinuance of Passenger Service to Dauphin

Perimeter Aviation has announced the discontinuation of its domestic passenger service to Dauphin effective January 15, 2015 with a reduced mid-week schedule commencing October 13, 2015 as described in the attached Public Notice from the company. This is a significant loss for our region and therefore the Dauphin Regional Airport Authority, Dauphin Economic Development & Tourism, The City of Dauphin and the RM of Dauphin are doing what they can to address the situation and to identify potential solutions for our community. In discussions with Perimeter Aviation however, it is clear they want to at least reduce the number of flights in and out of Dauphin, from the two per workday [ten (10) total per week] they make currently. It is our local belief that same day morning and evening service on at least two (2) days per week is important.

Many people have asked how to express concerns regarding the change in schedule. If you or someone you know is affected by these changes, letters and emails can be sent to the Dauphin stakeholders mentioned above care of Dauphin Economic & Development & Tourism. Please include information in your correspondence on how frequently you use the service and what days of the week would be most convenient for you if a two day per week daily service was restored.
